The comb selection represents the salon’s “all hair types” messaging. The style is inspired by an undertone of 80’s hair care and accessories brands. The Logo is a play on the brand Wet Brush and the font choice on the brand Caboodles.
the tarot card series
Commission a customized illustration print as a surprise gift for someone close to you.
The idea is that the entire tarot card is a characterization of the person’s life and personality from the gift giver’s perspective and relationship with the person.
Details you provide about the person are interpreted visually and have a touch of mysticism.
This information is also used to select a title from the tarot’s major arcana that reflects who they are as a person.
The point is to be incredibly unique with references to inside jokes, nicknames and anything that possibly only the two of you will understand.
My first illustration of this series is Jesse Mulder, one of my favourite people in the world and a very old childhood friend. He is the head chef and co-owner of Pumpui and Pichai the two best Thai restaurants in Montréal, QC, Canada.
